These recreational leagues are non-competitive. These programs will emphasize skill development, learning the rules of baseball, playing as a team, and having fun!
Sign up occurs individually, but teammate request will be granted when possible. Please indicate the teammate request in the registration. If you are new to NKC sports programs, you will be placed on a team by the NKC Parks and Recreation Staff. The recreation programs are dependent upon volunteer coaches. Summer Baseball and Softball
North Kansas City Parks and Recreation youth baseball and softball programs are non-competitive leagues. These programs will emphasize skill development, learning the rules of baseball, playing as a team, and having fun!
Co-Ed T-Ball | Ages 4-6 by May 1
T-ball is the foundation of every future baseball or softball player’s career. Teams focus on understanding the basics of the game, having fun, and making new friends. Our goal is for each child to learn the basic mechanics of batting, throwing, and catching to encourage their passion for baseball or softball. All practices and games will be held at Macken Park. Practice will begin at the beginning of May. Season begins week of May 27.
Registration: February 16 - April 1 ($10 late fee starts March 18)
Fee: $70 (includes t-shirt and award)
Coach Pitch (Baseball and Girls Softball)| Ages 7-9 by May 1
Coach pitch is our next division for baseball and softball. Players will learn to hit the ball as it is being pitched from a coach and cooperate as a team to earn runs and outs. The primary goal is to prepare your child for the next level of play. All practices and games will be held at Macken Park. Games will take place at Macken Park or Happy Rock Park. Practice will begin at the beginning of May. Season begins week of May 27.

Kid Pitch (Baseball and Girls Softball)| Ages 10-12 by May 1
Kid Pitch Baseball or Softball is the final step in our recreation program. This program will prepare the players for a more competitive style of play. Players are introduced to pitching from other players and learn to incorporate their batting, throwing, and fielding skills. Your child will completely understand the essence of baseball and softball after completing the season. All practices and games will be held at Macken Park. Games will take place at Macken Park or Happy Rock Park. Practice will begin at the beginning of May. Season begins week of May 27.

Refund Policy
A refund can be requested up to two weeks from the start date of league practice (May 1st). The refund will be 75% of the total paid registration fee. NO refunds will be made after the two week period.
