The Human Resources Department strives to provide the highest quality of service to City departments, City employees and the citizens of North Kansas City. The HR Manager supports eight City departments and more than 200 City employees.

We are committed to not only attracting and hiring new employees, but also committed to motivating and retaining current employees.

The Human Resources Department plays a role in the recruitment, testing, hiring, onboarding, and promotional processes of City employees. Human Resources is also responsible for implementing employee policies, benefits administration, safety and workers compensation, employee relations, employee wellness program and payroll.
