North Kansas City is served by Clay County Senior Services. They serve as the resource delivery agency and provide a broad range of services to promote wellness - physical, emotional, & intellectual.

Did you know that Clay County residents who are 60 or older may qualify for home safety repairs or modifications to their home? Clay County Senior Services (CCSS) provides funding for safety repairs or modifications to any home an older adult resides in as long as the household meets income guidelines. Safety repairs and modifications can include:

• Purchasing & installing grab bars, handheld shower heads, handrails, & other limited safety modification equipment
• Replacing or repairing stair railings
• Minor home repairs including light electrical and plumbing repairs
• Installing locks or security devices
• Building accessibility ramps
• Repairing or replacing steps and walkways
• Repairing washers or dryers
• Lighting pilot lights and changing filters on furnaces or water heaters
