North Kansas City's Director of Liquor Control manages and approves all business liquor licenses. The first step to obtain a liquor license for your business is to download and review the liquor license packet and application below. Once you have completed the application, submit it to the Police Department who will coordinate the process with the Director of Liquor Control. Temporary Caterer's Permit
A Temporary Catering Permit is required for a company selling/serving alcohol outside their location within the city limits of North Kansas City. An example would be someone having a wedding event in NKC and they have hired XYZ Catering for their open bar, XYZ Catering would need to obtain a Temporary Caterer’s Permit in order to sell and serve alcohol.
The applicant must acquire and submit a State Liquor License for the event with an application and fee of $10 per day.
