The City of North Kansas City provides water and wastewater services to its residences through the Water Division and Waste Pollution Control Division. North Kansas City has its own drinking water plant which is operated 24/7. The water plant is a ground water plant, which means we get our water from wells. The water plant has 6 wells that are approximately 120 feet deep. The water plant pumps 3 million gallons on average per day. Water quality is monitored 24 hours a day and is tested every 2 hours according to the Missouri Department of Natural resources requirements. The Water Division maintains 40 miles of water mains, 335 fire hydrants, and reads over 25,000 water meters per year.
