Clay County Health Announces Step 2 of Recovery

The Clay County Public Health Center has announced that the emergency order has been extended and the county will move to Phase 2, Step 2 of its COVID-19 Recovery Plan on Monday, June 1. Extensive guidance for businesses, organizations and gatherings can be found at clayhealth.com/recovery, plus resources for signage and PPE.

Throughout every step of recovery, it remains incredibly important that every individual and business remember these four Recovery Essentials to prevent the spread of disease and protect our community:
High-risk persons should continue to stay home except for essential activities. Anyone who is sick should also stay at home.
Wear a face mask/covering when interacting with others outside your home.
Maintain physical distancing (six feet) from anyone you do not live with.
Maintain the highest levels of cleaning and hygiene.

The Clay County Public Health Center will continue to actively monitor local data on a daily basis and react and adjust accordingly. The goal is to not return to a stay-at-home order, however, if at any time COVID-19 disease rates demonstrate the need to return to those measures, the public health order will be amended.
