Friday Greetings,

Police Officer Riley graduated from the Police Academy and was sworn in on Thursday, January 17.  Officer Riley will now begin her twelve weeks of field training. Welcome aboard!

On Thursday, January 17 the City Clerk conducted a blind lottery drawing to determine the order that candidates will appear on the April ballot.  Listed below is how the April 2 ballots for the municipal election will appear:

Anthony Saper

Jesse Smith
Jane S. Quick

Richard Stewart

Tom Farr

On Friday, January 18, the City was presented with the Bronze Level plaque for the Community of All Ages Program by the Mid-America Regional Council.

Due to the large number of trees damaged by last weekend’s winter storm, the City will be offering curbside limb pickup. Please be advised that limb removal may take a few weeks due to continuing snow removal operations.

City offices will be closed on Monday, January 21 in observation of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.
