Administrative Assistant-Parks and Recreation

Hours: Thursday, Friday, and Saturday 8:30am to 5:00pm; and additional coverage as needed. 

Pay Rate: $12.00 an hour- A post-offer drug test is required. 

Summary of Duties: Provides administrative support to Director, Recreation Manager and Coordinator to ensure efficient daily operations of Parks and Recreation through customer service in person, over the phone and on line. Will work with RecTrac/WebTrac software along with website updates.  Assist with a all special events throughout the year. 

Essential Duties:

  • Open and close facility (must be comfortable working along)
  • Register customers for activity and facility reservations.
  • Balance cash drawer and generate daily reports
  • Answer calls and email inquiries about programs and rentals of shelters and facility
  • Process shelter and facility rentals documentation
  • Update website, RecTrac and WebTrac with program information
  • Assist with facility rental set up as needed
  • Assist with event set up and operations 

Qualifications: Must be at least 18 years old at time of hire.  Must be a great communicator, able to multi-task, problem solver and dependable.  Some experience in Parks and Recreation preferred but not required.  Experience with Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Adobe Suite is preferred. 

Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Other Requirements:

·         Work is performed in an indoor office environment.

·         May be required to reach with hands and arms, sit, stand, talk and hear, see, and drive a motor vehicle;

·         May be required to lift/move up to 50 pounds
