Zoning Ordinance Update

Public Review Draft - Zoning Ordinance Update
The City of North Kansas CIty is working to update the existing Zoning Ordinance, adopted in 2002, that regulates all development within the City. The 2016 Master Plan identified a need to modernize the zoning ordinance, eliminate the existing ordinance's pyramidal scheme of permitted uses, establish form-based zoning for downtown, eliminate the Burlington Corridor Overlay District, and establish open space requirements. City staff has been working with Gould Evans on this project. The Public Review Draft and supporting documents are available below. Comments about the Public Review Draft can be submitted via email to the Community Development Director, Sara Copeland at scopeland@nkc.org
