Financial Relief & Assistance

The Missouri Chamber of Commerce and Industry produced an instructional video – Coronavirus business relief: Understanding your options.  For more information, visit their website.  

If your small business is experiencing difficulties due to the loss of customers and income, supply chain disruption, or other issues, the KC COVID-19 Small Business Relief Loan Fund can provide immediate relief to local small businesses.

The Kansas City Chamber of Commerce has prepared a guide to provide information on eligibility of small businesses for loans included in the Coronavirus Aid Relief and Economic Security Act (CARES). 

A coalition of charitable, business, and government partners have joined together to create the Kansas City Regional Fund to respond to the needs of the Kansas City region's most vulnerable communities affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Small Business Administration - The SBA’s Economic Injury Disaster Loan program provides small businesses with working capital loans of up to $2 million that can provide vital economic support to overcome the temporary loss of revenue.  Missouri has officially been declared a disaster area, and is eligible for SBA assistance.

Missouri Department of Labor has several programs available to assist employers in addressing workforce issues in response to Covid-19 including a Shared Work Program to help minimize the need for layoffs, and a Mass Filing Claim program to assist employers and employees during a temporary mass layoff.

The Employment Transition Team can serve as a guide for business owners as well as staff to help connect laid-off employees connect with jobs.

The State of Missouri has created a Business Resource List that has links to information for businesses and employees. 

Missouri One Start is helping essential businesses staff up to meet demand.

Local Resources
