Friday Greetings,

During the Tuesday, October 19, Work Session, the City Council modified Maps C, E & F based on resident feedback.  To view the October 19, Work Session:  https://youtu.be/kLIV4J3BvlM   The City Council would like residents to review the modified Maps C, E & F and provide input through online comment form, paper comment form (located at City Hall), contacting them directly, or sharing your comments at the Tuesday, November 2, City Council Special Session beginning at 6 p.m.  There will be an Open House on Tuesday, November 2 from 4-6 p.m. Residents are welcome to review information boards, fill out comment cards, or provide public comment during the City Council Special Session immediately following the Open House.  To view more information on Redistricting:  https://bit.ly/3GnD8E5   To submit an online comment card:  https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/JJVFZG9

Mayor DeLong and city staff presented the annual State of the City Address at the North Kansas City Business Council luncheon on Thursday.  The PowerPoint from the luncheon has been loaded to the City’s website: https://bit.ly/3Cnf6GO

North Kansas City Parks and Recreation is taking donations for hats and scarves for our Feel the Warmth project! We are accepting hats and scarves, either handmade or store bought (with tags). Please turn your donations in at the Parks & Recreation Center by Friday, November 12. During the week of November 22, anyone who needs a little extra warmth for the winter season will be able to find them available on the fence line of our local parks: Waggin' Trail Dog Park, Macken Park, and Dagg Park. Help for local families struggling financially due to the COVID-19 pandemic is available through a program being administered by Clay County. The Emergency Rental Assistance Program can help families who rent their homes get caught up on past due rent and utility bills.  If you are eligible, make sure to fill out an interest form by clicking the button on our Rental Assistance Portal, which can be found here: https://www.claycountymo.gov/transparency/erap.
