At the City Council meeting on Tuesday, October 6, Kim Nakahodo was presented the 2020 Richard R. Noll Outstanding Assistant Award by the Missouri City/County Management Association (MCMA). The award honors professionalism, high standards of accomplishment and ethical conduct. The recipient must hold an administrative position that is responsible for assisting the chief administrative officer in carrying out various administrative duties and other responsibilities.
“Kim performs outstanding work on behalf of City stakeholders on a day-in/day-out basis. Many people both inside and outside of the City organization can testify to the great job she does, all with her customary gusto and good cheer. I am thrilled that Kim received this well-deserved recognition from our state’s professional organization.”
Among many duties, Ms. Nakahodo serves as the City’s Economic Development Coordinator, Public Information Officer, supervises the City’s City Clerk and Municipal Court operations, and handles numerous special projects for the City. Prior to joining North Kansas City in 2018, Kim served as Assistant to the City Administrator in Blue Springs and in the City Communications Office and Finance Department in Kansas City.
