Friday Greetings,

In response to the global Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) crisis, Mayor Stielow will issue the sixth amended order, requiring residents and visitors in North Kansas City to wear face coverings under certain circumstances until 11:59 p.m. on Saturday, August 1, unless and until the order is extended, rescinded, superseded, or amended in writing.  The North Kansas City amended order is in addition to the Clay County Public Health Emergency Order Amended on 7/1/2020.  For more information, please visit www.nkc.org/coronavirus.

If you need a mask, please visit City Hall during business hours. The City has single-use masks available.  One mask will be distributed per person.

North Kansas City residents and business owners are invited to attend a community forum on Tuesday, July 14 at 7 p.m. at the Festival Shelter in Macken Park to address questions and concerns they have with the members of the North Kansas City Police Department.   Shelter seating is limited. Please bring your own chair to this event. Attendees will be asked to practice social-distancing.  If you have questions, comments or concerns you would like to submit to the event, please submit them to police@nkc.org. We can't promise we will be able to answer every question or concern at the event but will do the best we can.

The City has scheduled repair work on a water main on Armour Road from Clay to Fayette, and on Swift from 21st Ave. to just south of 18th Avenue, beginning at 10 p.m. on July 15, and anticipated to be completed by 6:30 a.m. on July 16, 2020. To make the repairs, it is necessary for the City’s contractor to shut off certain water lines. Some businesses and residences will experience a water outage during the time the repairs are being made.

Due to the nature of repair work, it is possible the project may take longer than anticipated. Water will be restored immediately after the repairs are completed. Once water service is restored, it is recommended that you run your faucets for a couple of minutes to assure the water in your service line is clear.

Friday Night Concerts returns on Friday, July 10 with Elton Dan and the Rocketband performing at the Macken Park Festival Pavilion at 7 p.m.  These concerts are free and open to the public.
